Sono entrata da qualche giorno in un nuovo MondoVirtuale. L’impatto è stato piacevolissimo, ottima grafica e gente con una mentalità diametralmente opposta a quella riscontrata, in parte, su Second Life. Lo sto conoscendo man mano, e grazie alla gentilezza del personale tutto, sto scoprendo cose sempre più nuove. Nasce con lo scopo di portare la cultura e il lavoro nel mondo sia virtuale che reale. Una vetrina aperta su due Mondi. Questo in sintesi, ma è molto, molto di più, anche la possibilità di un sano cazzeggio, allo scopo di trascorrere momenti di pace e tranquillità, con chi si desidera, e con lo sfondo di scenari bellissimi creati o costruiti da chi ha voglia di cimentarsi nelle costruzioni. Sono in realtà molto riduttiva, rispetto a quello che Kosmo si prefigge, e in parte già offre.

Entrando troverete chi vi darà tutte le informazioni al riguardo e se, tra chi mi legge, ci sono: informatici, programmatori, costruttori, beh fatevi sotto! Non rinnego Second Life, e non credo che andrò via da questo mondo, che ha indiscutibilmente il suo fascino. Un fascino velato, attualmente, da un po’ troppe cose che non vanno bene. Prezzi alle stelle e qualità spesso non elevata, e tanto altro, minano il metaverso, che sembra far scorrere il proprio destino sul filo del rasoio. La Linden ha problemi, e non sono voci di corridoio, lo sappiamo tutti ormai. Se un giorno dovesse chiudere i battenti, perderemmo tutti parte della nostra ‘storia’. Intere Sim storiche, e inventari di tutto rispetto, spazzati via all’istante. Il Metacosmo non è Second Life, non è il suo copia e incolla, è altro da scoprire. Quindi il mio non è un invito alla defezione, tant’è che sono su Second Life e ci resterò fino a quando lo riterrò opportuno. E’ solo un invito a scoprire altre opportunità, anche di lavoro, e non solo. I prezzi per una land, sono nettamente inferiori http://buyland.metacosmo.com ( il link permette di acquistare il terreno direttamente sul sito, anche), e con molti prims in più, ed inoltre ciò che è di propria creazione diventa trasferibile in qualsiasi altro Mondo Virtuale, e ciò che non lo è se, acquisito col permesso dei creators, può essere importato. Chi fa il Sacerdote su Second Life, di certo non troverà la sua ragione di essere in questo nuovo contesto virtuale, ma chi ha voglia di cimentarsi in altro sfonderà una porta aperta. E poi, perché non dare l’opportunità a Metacosmo di crescere? Forse nelle nostre città e paesi, in RL, c’è un solo negozio di scarpe, di generi alimentari, o altro? C’è posto per tutti, e per ogni genere di esigenza e gusti. Non sono tantissimi i Mondi Virtuali ed il Metacosmo è solo uno degli ultimi emergenti, ne ho visitati altri sotto mentite spoglie e devo dire che, al momento, il Metacosmo è sicuramente molto competitivo, non rispetto alla massa, ma a Second Life. Ciò non toglie che mi riserverò in futuro di buttare un occhio anche altrove. Certo, non c’è il traffico di Second Life, ma vogliamo dargli il tempo di crescere? Quindi non capisco i ripetuti attacchi a questo nuovo ‘mondo’. Ho letto ogni genere di falsità al riguardo. Ho riscontrato con i miei occhi tutto il contrario di ciò che si dice in negativo. Certo, ha i suoi problemi da risolvere, ancora Second Life non li ha risolti tutti, perché meravigliarsi? Perché organizzare spedizioni “punitive” atte ad offendere gente che ci lavora seriamente da mesi e mesi? Cos’è questa mania tutta italiana di sputare nel proprio piatto? Vado in giro e ascolto gente dare volutamente informazioni sballate al riguardo, o per ignoranza o volutamente. Ripeto, l’uno non annulla l’altro, sono due cose differenti. Io mi divido tranquillamente tra i due mondi, e lo trovo tra l’altro più dinamico e divertente, oltre che stimolante. Quindi invito a non avere pregiudizi e a sperimentare, prima di giudicare. Niente è facile, di certo non gli si potrà rimproverare un giorno, di non averci almeno provato, piuttosto che restare affacciati alla finestra della vita, rifacendo il verso ai menagramo più incalliti.

Hacen pocos días entré en un nuevo Mundo Virtual…

El impacto fue muy agradable, buenos gráficos y las personas con una mentalidad diametralmente opuesta a la que se encuentra en Second Life. Lo estoy explorando poco a poco… y gracias a la amabilidad de todo el personal de este Mundo, estoy descubriendo cosas nuevas. Este Mundo Virtual ha sido creado con el objetivo de acercar la cultura y el trabajo en el mundo, sea virtual o real. Una ventana abierta en dos mundos. Esto en pocas palabras, pero mucho más, incluye la posibilidad de una diversión saludable para disfrutar de momentos de paz y tranquilidad con su ser querido y con el telón de fondo de un hermoso paisaje creado o construido por la gente que quiere participar en la construcción. De hecho, estoy siendo muy sencilla en comparación con lo que tiene como objetivo y ofrece Kosmo. Al entrar se encuentra inmediatamente quien le dará toda la información sobre éste y… si entre los que me leen son: informaticos, programadores, desarrolladores, bueno, consiguieron donde trabajar! Yo no rechazo Second Life y no creo que me iré de este mundo que tiene sin dudas, todo su encanto aunque actualmente se encuentra en algunos aspectos, en fallo por demasiadas cosas que no andan como deben. Precios que suben y calidad no siempre de la mejor atentan contra este mundo que parece correr sobre el filo de la navaja. Linden Lab tiene problemas y no son rumores, a estas alturas todos lo sabemos… Y si un día Second Life deberia cerrar, se pierde todo, parte de nuestra “historia”… Enteros Sims historicos e inventarios más que valiosos, desaparecidos al instante. El Metacosmo no es Second Life, no es su copia y pega, es algo más que descubrir. Así que la mía no es una invitación a la deserción, sigo siendo de Second Life y me quedaré siempre y cuando lo considere oportuno. Es sólo una invitación a explorar otras oportunidades, también de  trabajo y mucho más … Los precios de la tierra, son mucho más bajos y con muchos más prims, y también las propias creaciones son transferibles en otros mundos virtuales y las que no son, se pueden adquirir con el permiso de los creadores y luego importar.  Quién hace el Sacerdote en Second Life, desde luego, no va a encontrar su razón de estar en este nuevo contexto virtual, pero quien quiere participar tendrá su oportunidad.

Y entonces ¿por qué no darle a Kosmo la oportunidad de crecer? Tal vez en las nuestras ciudades o los pueblecitos de nuestra vida real, sólo hay una tienda de zapatos, una tienda de comestibles o de otro tipo. Hay espacio para todos y para todos los gustos y necesidades. Los mundos virtuales no son muchos en realidad, y Metacosmo es sólo el ultimo de los emergentes, yo he tenido modo de visitar otros bajo varios disfraces, y debo decir que Kosmo es ciertamente muy competitivo, no en comparación con la masa, sino a Second Life… Seguiré echando un ojo en otros Metaversos. Claro, no hay mucho tráfico en el Metaverso, pero hay que darles tiempo para crecer. Así que no entiendo los ataques repetidos contra Metacosmo… He leído todo tipo de falsedades sobre ello. He visto con mis ojos todo lo contrario de lo que se dice en sentido negativo. Claro que tiene sus problemas para resolver, aunque Second Life sigue sin resolverlos todos, me pregunto ¿por qué?

¿Por qué organizar expediciones punitivas susceptible de ofender a las personas que trabajan en serio por meses y meses? Doy una vuelta en Second Life y escucho a la gente que da deliberadamente informaciones equivocadas sobre el tema, de manera ignorante o intencionalmente. Una vez más, una no anula la otra … son dos cosas diferentes. Yo personalmente me reparto entre los dos mundos, y que encuentro entre otras cosas, más dinámico y divertido, mas estimulante. Así que invito a no tener prejuicios y experimentar antes de juzgar. Nada es fácil por supuesto, no se podrá culpar a nadie de no intentarlo en lugar de permanecer asomado en la ventana de la vida, imitando los detractores más endurecidos.

I do not reject Second Life and I do not think I’ll go out of this world that has unquestionably its charm. Too many things that are not good. Skyrocketing prices and not high quality undermine this world that seems to run on a knife edge. The Linden has problems and are not rumors, we all know it by now … If a day Second Life were closed down, we lose all, part of our ‘story’ … entire Sim and historical inventories of all respect, wiped out instantly. The Metacosmo is not Second Life, is not its copy and paste, it is more to discover. So mine is not an invitation to the defection, I’m still in Second Life and I will stay as long as deemed appropriate. It is only an invitation to explore other opportunities, including work and more… The prices for lands are much lower and many more prims, and also what is our own creations becomes transferable to any other virtually world and what is not, acquired with the permission of the creators can be imported. Who makes the Priest in second life, it certainly will not find his reason for being in this new virtual context, but who wants to engage in another world like this, will find an open door.

Sure, there’s no traffic in the Metaverse, but we want to give them time to grow? So I do not understand the repeated attacks on Metacosmo … I read all sorts of falsehoods about it. I have seen with my eyes just the opposite of what about is said in the negative. Sure it has its problems to solve, even Second Life not solve them all, wonder why?
